What is The Overland Gathering?
Every now and then we need a break - we've got a lot on this year - so instead of organising The Overland Event we're going on our holidays...
...but we know we'll miss you! So we've teamed up with Matt and Reece, AKA The Sidecar Guys, to create a gathering of like-minded travelling souls, and you can come too!
Based around their new business venture, the fabulous Drift Cafe at Cresswell near Morpeth, this weekend is all about chilling, and enjoying fine food! We'll highlight the opportunities for sightseeing and fabulous riding in the area (on road and trails, guided or not), as well as the rich history and natural beauty of the North East, so you can make your own day's entertainment. Or you might choose to just hang out on site and natter about your last trip with friends old and new whilst eating yourself silly.
In the evenings, we'll come back together for good food and fine Overland Ales, and compare notes on the day. The Gathering is deliberately restricted in size so if you like the sound of it, DO NOT DELAY when tickets go on sale as we anticipate it will sell out very quickly indeed.
so what does a 'passport' include?

3 nights' camping

a hot meal on arrival Thursday:

Northumberland Venison Stew served with mash and greens (veggie option too)

a veritable banquet of local produce on Saturday evening

hot showers – plenty for everyone
Saturday evening farm to fork feast:

3 course dinner served banquet style on big beer tables

Kicking off with a starter of homebaked breads, olives, dips etc.

Trio of meats all locally sourced in Northumberland including cider braised gammon, roast lamb and smokey pulled beef brisket, served with a range of hearty sides including bubble and squeak, roasties, roasted veg, cauliflower cheese etc.

Pudding will then be traditional and heart-warming, with a choice of crumble or sticky toffee pudding

And of course a veggie option will be available.
‘Spring Into Action’ last year was an all-active weekend at MotoCamp Wales.
