‘Spring Into Action’ was an all-active weekend at MotoCamp Wales. Will you join us next year?
We love motorcycles, but we love exploration too, and this active weekend combined both! It was an Overland weekend like no other we've run, which is why we teamed up with Steph Jeavons and her Moto Junkies crew at her fabulous site in the heart of one of Britain's most beautiful national parks... Snowdonia.
The weekend was activity-based and included:
Off-road Riding Skills tuition
A taster of Moto Junkies famous Train4Trails course. Two hours of beginner's skills on trail riding, giving a firm grounding in the basics using one of Moto Junkies Honda CRF250L's.
Beginner Adventure Riding Skills tuition
A two hour session on how to get the most out of your all-terrain adventure bike. Learn the dark arts of body position and weight control, when to stand on the pegs like a hero (and when to sit down!), brake and clutch control on loose surfaces and much more.
Trials riding - give it a go!
Get tips from the experts and attempt the motorcycle assault course on the Moto Junkies Gas Gas's. Tackle the seesaw and learn to limbo on a trials bike. Prizes for the slowest person of the weekend!
Guided Trail Rides
Trail riding on the TET (Trans Euro Trail) and beyond. A two hour session taking an easy-going ride on some outstanding trails through the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park on your own bike.
Gentle Trails and Back Road Rides
A two hour ride on one of the Moto Junkies fleet of Royal Enfield Himalayans on beautiful backroads and byways - just the kind of roads these bikes were designed for.
Guided Road Rides
A four hour guided ride on some of the very best riding roads the UK has to offer, taking in the incredible scenery of the stunning Snowdonia National Park, with stops along the way to marvel at the bends ahead and take some photos to go alongside the memories.
Advanced On-Road Riding Skills tuition
A three hour taster of Moto Junkies Road Skills Course. First, find out what bad habits you've slipped into... then master the art of twisties, and learn how to be smoother, faster and safer on the road with Steph's team of ex-police riders.
Ever wanted to know how to forage for your food instead of taking it with you? Learn the safe approaches at home and abroad. What's the point of knowing how to navigate rather than just following the GPS? Find out from a military instructor who has ridden his bike around the world. Workshops on these plus puncture repair techniques, how to set up your bike before a big trip and more...
Hiking and Walking
Whether you want to go for a gentle stroll to practice your new-found foraging skills, or go for a hike up Cadair Idris in the hands of one of our local guides, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the area on two feet as well as two wheels.
All of this will be alongside the great food and music you've come to expect; plus of course, the finest Overland Ales!
