We always like to give you the opportunity to test ride something a little different; something you may not have considered, so what about this - a Morbidelli!

Unless you're into motorcycle racing Morbidelli is a name and manufacturer that you may not be familiar with, but this Italian brand has a history dating back to 1959. Originally manufacturing wood-working machinery, Giancarlo Morbidelli was a good businessman and the rapidly expanding company gave him the opportunity to undertake his passion; motorcycles. By 1969 he had created a GP team which was to go on to claim multiple world championships in 125 and 250cc. By 1979 Graziano Rossi (whose little boy Valentino has done OK) was in the team campaigning in the 500cc championship.

They never really bothered with roadbikes, but when they did the 1990's were cruel to Morbidelli, and after the ill-fated 120bhp 850cc V8 tourer (yes really) the brand quietly disappeared.

Now back and owned by Hungarian-based Keeway they are producing 125 dirt bikes, a 500 road machine and this 997cc V-twin adventure bike.

The lazy V-twin produces almost 90Nm of torque, which makes for a happy touring motorcyclist, as does a price tag of £7999. Yes really. Compared to many machines this size that leaves you a lot of spare cash to actually use going somewhere!

You can read a good spec list here, but as with so many bikes, the proof is in the riding. You'll never know if it suits you until you give it a try, so we're pleased to be able to say that you can at The Overland Event 2025.
